‘Entryphone’, with its mix of stand-alone flash fictions, poetry, prose, recipes, quotations, and a music play list is so unconventional that it would be remarkable if any publisher had wanted to take it on (they didn’t, I tried three of them), but if I had decided to write something with the specific intention of having it published (with no target audience), I would have been mad to have written it in the way that I have in the first place. What I wanted was to write something on my own terms, ignoring any conventions or genres and simply do it for the joy of writing with no compromises. I am very happy to offer it here to read free of charge, and I hope you enjoy it or part of it.
